How do we decide on the best location and shape of a swimming pool?

• We figure out what the site tells us; the property might have a natural sweet spot already present.

• We consider the house itself; the architecture is important to create visual harmony with the pool.

• We consider what style the client is looking for, whether it be formal or free-form.

A swimming pool can be located near the home so that it becomes an integral part of the ‘exterior entertaining space’; or on a larger property, a separate pool garden away from the house can be an interesting place to visit on the property. As a landscape designer, my job is to help you make these decisions and understanding the pros and the cons of all of your options.
